The Ultimate - Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf


Have always been a great fan of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf's Ultimate Ice Blended and somehow, Regine is also always looking forward to her muffin before her Saturday class at Shichida HDB Hub.


Unfortunately, was utterly disappointed with their service yesterday...


Just completed my order and was bringing Gine her muffin and the drinks to our table. Just as I was clearing the tray away, Hubby overturned his cup of brew and made a terrible mess. The first thing that came to my mind was to bring Gine away from the table to avoid any scalding.


As a kid, she was upset and started to create a big commotion when I took away her muffin (as coffee was flowing onto her plate). At this time, it was a complete mess and Hubby hurriedly asked the counter staff (which was just right beside our table) for a wet cloth.


Well, the staff just handed the cloth to Hubby, yup, and that's it! I would not have blamed them if there was a huge crowd in front of the order counter (in fact, there wasnt anyone at all!). And it was not as if our table was so far away from the counter that the staff were not able to witness what had happened!


All eyes (from other customers) were on us though! Not too sure cos of the 'endless action' (cleaning and clearing) or cos of Gine's cries. Anyway, the 2 middle aged ladies beside us, looked at us, helpless. All they could do was to hand us a wet tissue (from some Japanese restaurant) and subsequently gave up their seats to us...

Till now, not a Coffeebean offered any assistance, not even a little gesture of giving us some serviettes. What was even more annoying was the staff FINALLY came out to clear the mess, when and only when we have settled down on the other table (given up by the 2 kind-hearted ladies!)

Guess Singapore still has a long way more - to improve their customer service!!!
